Saving Elsewheres;
Work in Progress
‘Saving Elsewheres’ is an (ongoing) interdisciplinary project that takes the form of audiovisual performance, video work and research on memories-in-transit, through a recollection of affects and stories.
In 2021 and in collaboration with sound artist Farah Hazim, we performed the first installment at Ausland Berlin where we created a psychosomatic space with sounds, text, video and live object manipulation by repurposing VHS tapes of my childhood sent by my parents in Beirut. The tapes have been transported to Berlin in an attempt to save memories at times of unrest.
